We’re All in This Together
Right now, it feels like everyone in America is angry at someone else. Republicans mad at Democrats. Democrats mad at Republicans. People fighting over religion, race, who we love, where we come from.
But what if we’re missing the real problem?
Think about it - while we’re all busy arguing with each other, the people in power stay in power. While we’re fighting our neighbors, nothing changes for the better. It’s like we’re so focused on hating the person next to us that we forget to look up and ask who benefits when we’re all divided.
This isn’t about left or right politics. This is about all of us - every American family trying to make it through tough times. When we spend our energy fighting each other instead of working together, we all lose.
What if we tried something different? What if instead of assuming the worst about people who disagree with us, we remembered that most of us want the same basic things - safe communities, good opportunities for our kids, and a chance at a decent life?
The person who votes differently than you isn’t your enemy. The family that worships differently isn’t your enemy. Your real neighbors, the ones who live on your street and shop at your grocery store - they’re not your enemies either.
We can disagree on things and still work together on what matters. But first, we have to stop letting anger and fear make our choices for us.
What do you think would happen if we actually tried to understand each other instead of just trying to win arguments?
