Well, the past few months turned into an unexpected hiatus.
After a difficult last year, I found myself dealing with a combination of burnout, imposter syndrome, and feeling disconnected from something I loved so much.
For the first 4 years of Better Days, my focus was on in-person events. I was constantly making inventory, chasing new product ideas, and trying to keep up with the pace of markets and conventions. Events became less and less profitable, while vendor fees climbed higher, making it hard to justify them.
This year has looked very different. I haven't done any local events, and the only event currently on my calendar is 90's Con Connecticut in October. Instead of focusing on making as much as possible, I want to focus on creating with intention. I'm excited to explore more small-batch collections, one of a kind pieces, and incorporating upcycled materials whenever I can.
I'll also be clearing out some older inventory to make room for what's next. Keep an eye on my stories over the next few weeks because I'll be posting some great deals!
Thank you to everyone who has stuck around during my quiet season.
Here's to finding our way back to the things that light us up. ✨
