Do you know what floor plans are for?

Most people really have no idea what an interior designer does. After an interior designer meets a new client, and listens about their dream home, and wishes for their space, the first thing they do is measure and draw. You must start with a floor plan.

A floor plan or construction plan is the graphic representation of the future project. A project depending on its size may have different amounts of plans there is no exact amount since each project is different.

In the floor plan designers can draw a piece of furniture to scale and can instantly see what fits and envision how it will look in your space. They need to leave proper spacing between furniture (15" between a sofa and a coffee table). As well they need to have the proper flow into a furniture grouping (24" will not allow people to pass comfortably between chairs).

Interior Designers need to ensure that you are meeting local codes and not creating a potential hazard in your home. In the floor plans you see elements of daily use, beds, furniture, kitchen, or establish arrangement of future furniture and define specific areas of the house or building to be built.

These floor plans contain all the necessary information and guidelines to be followed to build the project. In addition, it is a document that serves to obtain certain financing if we need it, building permits and exact measures. Without these, it would be impossible to carry out any work, because thanks to them the builders will have access to all the information necessary to be able to start the project.

Home Decor Idea: Design each room by keeping the person who it is for in mind. It will give the room a very personal touch and will be welcoming for the person living there.
