Truthfully, I never imagined selling my items as I loved to gift them for holidays, special occasions, and "just because." I have a super hard time maintaining surprises with the gifts I make, and love to see faces light up when delivering a special item. After being asked time and time again why I haven't opened up an Etsy shop or sold my items, I took the leap and here I am, with MB Crafts. In a
ddition to creating items, I also host DIY classes where I will teach you to make seasonal items for your home. Growing up, my dad was a carpenter and nearly every item in our home was handmade by him. From cutting boards and wood salad bowls to entertainment centers, he hand crafted each item. There's something special about a homemade item that has a story and provides pride and comfort in the home. My dad passed away in 2004 and the items he made are so cherished. As a child, his nickname for me was "monkeybutt," which is the meaning behind MB crafts. I owe much of my knowledge in wood works, and in life, to him. I hope that by opening up MB Crafts I will be able to share my passion with others by creating personal items that have reason and meaning.
