Did I make the right choice on this paint job?

I definitely took a bit of risk here, but it’s a first floor powder room and I figured why not go bold.

Did I make the right choice here? Is the bump out above the ceiling what is throwing this off?

The frame above the toilet is temporary. I think it’s too small for the space. Perhaps wood shelves would be better?

I like the vibes with the African poster. Do I need to just lean in a bit more? Funky towels? Funky rug?

Help me with my master bathroom

I recently remodeled my master bathroom. We took out a walk-in shower (2 walls and glass block) and a jet tub. I wanted an elegant, bright room. I feel like something is still missing (other than the missing drain cover for the bath). Help!

What do we do with this awkward space?

Help! We have this space on the first floor that we have no idea what to do with. Around the holidays the Christmas tree goes there but besides that it’s empty. To the right there’s an awkward column. I included a floor plan picture and outlined where this area sits in relation to the rest of the floor plan. Any ideas?

Breakfast nook disaster!

I’m at a complete loss! I tried to design a cute breakfast nook with custom seating and custom table but it is so dysfunctional I want to cry. It seats four across the bench easily but the inside two seats SUCK! They always feel trapped. If we put chairs on the outside of the table it kind of impedes the walk way through the kitchen. We have a family of 5 (4 + high chair) and use this space the most of anywhere in our house. Please help me not hate it ❤️

P.s I’ve tried ordering a custom cushion off Etsy but after 3 failed attempts I gave up and just used the least failed cushion I received and “benched” (good pun, eh?) the cushion until I resolved this… situation.

What to do here?
Hey community,

i moved into my first own flat some time ago and struggle to overthink my white walls, instead of doing sth against them. Can you help me, to decorate that blue space?

I thought about printing some of my fav album covers (e.g good kid maad city) and put them into black frames, maybe add some plants and light. That mirror doesnt have to stay. What i would appreciate the most would be a concrete layout but i m happy for any support.

HELP How can I make this new dining nook work? Trying to achieve a cozy vibe
My boyfriend and I just replaced our old dining table that was way too big for this space. We found this breakfast nook and we absolutely LOVE it, the problem is I HATE how this room looks now! I tend to be pretty good at designing spaces but for some reason I’m totally stumped and I have no idea where to start. I want something a bit more cozy and maybe using pastel colors somehow but that’s all I know for sure. As for the breakfast nook, I’m planning on making the cushions by hand, I just don’t know what color/pattern of fabric could look good here! Also- the mannequin head lamp is just temporary because we want to put some type of lamp there later. Does anyone have any ideas on what could make this room look better?

Recently redid our bathroom to add board and batten, painted the gross brown tiles a grey color. I redid this buffet to be a vanity, found a statement mirror. But something is off here, can’t quite put my finger on it. Mirror too small? Too much wood? Too much blue/grey? Help!!

This is probably a bit tacky for this sub, but trying to figure out a way to hide this attic door.
This levitating door is in a stair well that goes up to the man cave. So luckily, that gives us options in terms of doing something dumb that guys like me like (so far I thought about a big flag of my favorite football team).

It’s a bit of a distraction to people as you can imagine, and I thought I’d try to cover it up somehow. I need to replace a piece of trim under the door still. Any ideas?
