Pocha 93

This place opened not too long near us and I’ve been wanting to check it out. It’s on West Colonial near H Mart.

I ordered a drink called ETA (Vodka, passionfruit, orange) and it was good! My husband ordered a brown sugar boba tea and this was amazing! I will definitely order it whenever we go back. He really enjoyed it. Plus our waitress was telling us it was her recipe so we will definitely be looking for her next time for sure!

For dinner I ordered Braised Pork Belly Ramen. I would rate this an 8/10 it was vey good and had a bit of a kick. Very filling. Kimchi came on the side but I’m not a fan so the side is where it stayed!

My husband ordered the Don Katsu Pork Cutlet and it was sooooo good. 10/10 for sure. It was fried to perfection, and the sauce that was on it was amazing. He cleaned his plate.

The service was top knotch and so is the atmosphere. We will definitely be back and want to hit up the karaoke they host on Wednesday and Friday nights.

Foxtail in Altamonte Springs Mall opened this week!

Stopped by before going to see a movie to check it out. I love how it looks! I hope they get a lot of business. The mall doesn’t have any coffee shops, you really only had the option of Cinnabon, so they should get some foot traffic.

While there I got my free birthday drink! Chai with two pumps each of Banana and Hazelnut. It was delicious!!! 9/10. It can’t beat the Banana Bread Chai I tried a while ago.

Lemon Poppyseed Muffins and scrambled eggs.

Follow the box instructions for the muffins and for the eggs - whip them up however you like!

How do you make your scrambled eggs? Here I put pepper, paprika, parsley, spinach, shredded cheese 🧀

7 eggs
Beat them up with the seasonings.
While cooking in the skillet chopped up some spinach and tossed it in with the cheese.

Last Thursday was my birthday so I decided to go Tibby's Kitchen with my husband and friends. We pass this place so many times when we go to Altamonte Springs I can not believe it took us so long to eat there!

This is 💯 percent a RAVE for me personally. Everything was amazing - from the ambience, the customer service, to the food, the drinks! It’s hard to impress me on every level and they sure did. I made the reservation on Open Table and notated that it was indeed my birthday. When we sat down, the waitress (Jasmine btw, amazing) brought me a birthday card and Happy Birthday beads. New Orleans tradition! So already off the bat I was impressed, it is the little things that make the whole experience.

I ordered their signature Hurricane to drink. 🍹 (A Hurricane consists of light and dark rum, passion fruit and orange juices, lime, simple syrup and grenadine)
I was barely through the first one and it was already hitting me so they definitely put liquor in it *chef’s kiss* 💋

For appetizer we ordered the Debris Rolls. Try it! 10/10. It’s like an egg roll filled with delicious roast beef and cheese and comes with a cup of gravy to dip in.

Dinner I ordered the Rita’s Chicken which is their most popular dish. 10/10. The chicken was so juicy and fried to perfection and the cream sauce over the top was so good. I was in HEAVEN! Also order a side of Cheddar Grits they are so good I wanted to cry.

For dessert I got a free beignet for my birthday. The table ordered a plate of beignets with a brandy sauce and it was to die for. 10/10. You cannot have New Orleans food and not get a beignet it is just not allowed.

As I said - it is hard to impress me on every level and Tibbys certainly knocked it out of the park. I will be back and I’m bringing all my friends.

Sometimes it’s the perfect night to drink some Mango wine from Aldi and make chili mac! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!

Easy peasy mac and cheesy!

1 can chili of your choice
1 box of mac and cheese

Make the mac and cheese according to the box.
I usually heat the chili up and then add in after the mac and cheese is done.
Add whatever shredded cheeses or seasonings you like. I just add some shredded fiesta cheese blend and some pepper.
Mix together and serve!

Pour yourself a glass of your favorite wine and enjoy!

Slow Cooker Italian Chicken

The Recipe ~

The Ingredients:

2-3 large chicken breasts
2 Cups cherry tomatoes
1 1/2 tsp Italian Seasoning
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 Cup heavy cream
1/2 Cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

The Process:

- Prep the chicken breasts, I always make cuts into the breasts so the seasonings can get in and season the chicken better.
- Season your chicken breasts how you like. I always go off script and I rubbed my chicken down with Kinders Buttery Garlic rub, paprika, lemon juice, a dash of tumeric, and Italian seasoning.
- Place the chicken into the crockpot and add the tomatoes in, putting them around the breasts. -Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt and pepper, and I added in some parsley, all over everything.
- Pour heavy cream into the pot and evenly distribute it.
- Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese before serving and you can serve it over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes. I chose to mix in cooked penne pasta.

Foxtail date~

I love Foxtail coffee! I abandoned Starbies a loooong time ago when we discovered this amazing coffee place right in our neighborhood. It has since left but we definitely still go whenever we have an early movie since there’s one near our usual movie theater.

Lately I have been just winging my coffee choices and when I go inside I see what seasonal drinks they are advertising or what special recommendations they have on the board.

I tried the Banana Bread Chai and it was definitely 10/10! It wasn’t too sweet and wasn’t in your face with the banana flavor. It was subtle and everything just mixed well. I will be ordering this again.

The Good Morning bagels are a perfect little breakfast! I always get the everything bagel and they add cheese and eggs.

My husband had his usual Iced Caramel Latte which he enjoys!

It was a Chili's Grill & Bar kind of night! I get the craving every now and then for their chips and salsa (always add a cup of ranch to dip the chips into). I tried their Margarita of the Month which was a Bobba Popping Margarita made with Lunazul® Blanco Tequila, Deep Eddy® Lemon Vodka, Monin® Watermelon, house-made sour, and dragonfruit boba ~

My husband tried the Frozen Flamingo which is a classic frozen Patron Marg topped Titos handmade Vodka and Owens Prickly Pear.

It was good! Not as good as some of their other margs though.

The 3 for Me menu has dwindled sadly. I remember the good ol’ 2 for $22 dinner menu. We went more often when that was around. So now we just opt for the 6 oz sirloin.

Chilis makes a very good sirloin. I don’t even need steak sauce it’s always seasoned well. Which is weird, you wouldn’t expect that for a non steakhouse place.

I love Chilis! I just wish they would add more things back to their 3 for me and maybe I would go more often.

Happy Cinco De Mayo!

We decided to stop by Talkin’ Tacos to get our taco fix. We have tried this place once before and it was very good, so we knew the drive was worth it.

Today I tried the Birria Tacos, I had the Birria Burrito last time. The tacos are a decent size, 3 was more than enough for me, and the birria to dip them into was *chefs kiss* 💋 10/10

My husband got the chicken burrito. As you can see pictured it is on the larger size. One thing I can never complain about is the portion size. He liked my tacos better than his burrito though.

The drinks! This time around I got the Sunrise Punch and my husband had the Blue-Mango Lemonade. The Sunrise Punch was excellent! I liked it better than the lemonade.

Next time I definitely want to try the Birria Mac & Cheese. They were sold out today 😭
