Today I'm inspired by this multifunctional art in the lobby of 1251 Avenue of the Americas. According to the sculptor Kan Yasuda, "These big pieces are the part of earth that were hewed out from a marble mountain in Italy. Reach out your hand, be seated or lay down on them. Something may touch your heart. Just you and the piece of marble would know that inspiration."

One of the most interesting products I saw at ICFF was the Loom Song Collection of acoustic textiles designed by Leon, a manufacturer of audiovisual solutions founded by Noah Kaplan, with Moroccan-based Maison Tóukkani founded by Khalida Tóukkani. The collection reinterprets traditional Moroccan rug-making through a contemporary lens and pairs the designs with precision acoustic engineering and a handcrafted frame to produce functional works of art. Luteca's classic Latin American Butaque chair was reimagined by Clara Porset in several designs including the "Clasica Cane" pictured here. Through her eyes, the chair features a more curved, ergonomic shape, which she enhanced further with rich, natural materials like oak, mahogany, wicker and leather in many different iterations.
