The best part isn’t when I finish a Mini Mount. It’s seeing where it goes next. 🌿

Every orchid starts here in my hands. I choose the mount, prepare the plant, pack it carefully and send it off to a home I’ve never seen.

Then sometimes a photo comes back.

New roots. A new spot in someone’s home. A message saying it arrived healthy. Or even someone who “isn’t an orchid person” falling for one anyway.

That part never gets old.

Thank you to every customer who has trusted me with one of these tiny orchids.

A finished Mini Mount isn’t always a ready Mini Mount.

After mounting, I wait for the orchid to show me that it is adapting. New root tips, stable leaves, and active growth are the signs I’m looking for.

Only then is it hydrated, carefully prepared, and made available for its next home.

Because looking beautiful is only the beginning. It also needs to be ready to grow.

Most people notice orchids when they're in bloom.

Orchid growers notice moments like this. 🌱

This tiny growth is called a keiki, the Hawaiian word for "baby." In many Dendrobium species, keikis are a completely natural way for the plant to reproduce, creating a genetically identical clone of the mother plant.

Before it's ready to live on its own, it will spend months developing leaves and roots while remaining attached to the parent plant. Watching that journey is one of the most rewarding parts of growing orchids.

Dark green leaves? It's asking for more light. It may grow fine, but it rarely blooms. Medium green? You found the sweet spot. Bright, indirect light = healthy color, steady growth, reliable blooms. Reddish or yellowish tones creeping in? That's a sunburn warning; it's super common when mounted orchids sit in direct sun.

Mounted orchids dry out fast, and their roots are exposed, so getting light right matters even more. The fix is simple: move your plant gradually (never in one jump) and watch new growth as your feedback loop. 🌱
