FAA Announces Major Change for Legacy Citation Operators

The FAA has announced that it will discontinue the single-pilot exemptions that have allowed certain Citation CE-500 series aircraft to be operated by a single pilot.

The change affects the Citation 500/I, Citation II, Citation S/II, Citation V/Ultra, Citation Bravo, Citation Encore and Citation Encore+.

For aircraft owners and operators, the immediate consideration is understanding the new crew requirements and how they may affect future operations. Valor Jets will be following the implementation of this policy closely and keeping our clients informed as additional guidance and industry information become available.
