POV: Designer off duty at LOTUS Minneapolis — a family-owned restaurant I’ve been coming to for 10+ years.
The space is simple, but here are three things they absolutely got right in fast-casual design:

✨ Natural Lighting
Their wall of windows brings in so much sunlight — it makes the space feel open, bright, and welcoming.

✨ Space Planning
For a fast-casual spot, the flow is impressively efficient. Dine-in, pickup, and walk-through areas are laid out in a way that keeps everything moving smoothly.

✨ Branding Through Atmosphere
It feels like home — truly. The moment you step inside, the space hugs you. The family-owned Vietnamese heritage shows in the warmth and simplicity.
