I love it when I experiment with fabric and it comes out better than expected. I just made a new deposit bag (the old one hadn't turned out as well as I'd like - fusible interfacing doesn't stick to zippers, apparently) and I love it! I think I'll make more to sell as pencil/makeup/whatever bags.

Is excited about tonight's class at Calico Gals. Learning to make cosmetic bags (which also means I'll learn the correct way to sew zippers). With fat quarters on sale at JoAnn Fabrics, I'll be making a BUNCH after tonight!

Going on 2 hours to cut, iron, trace, and cut pattern. It's times like this when I wish I was a Replicator - no need to eat, sleep, or take bathroom breaks.

It's an annoying waste of time to have to iron your pattern before you can start laying it out.

One of the many good things about working at JoAnn Fabrics is all the information, advice, and tips I can glean off of everyone. There's always someone there that can answer any question I might have, or know where I can find out the information I need.

Apparently size DOES matter ... when it comes to sewing machine needles, that is. I spent about an hour the other night testing the seam on a swatch of the cloth I was working with and couldn't figure why the stitch wasn't coming out right. I was using a size 14 when I needed a size 9. lol
