Good morning from Blue Waters Studio! It is a cool and crisp morning. Our beloved Tamarack is pretty much the only tree still sporting autumn colors.

I'm off to do some personal chores and then pick up a load of vintage frames. Some of you know what that means!

In some ways, you could say Laser Lakes is a competitor. But...I decided long ago that I wasn't very interested in making lake maps.

And I strongly believe we all do better by raising each other up. So, I am sharing this.

If you are looking for a lake map, I don't think you can go wrong with by reaching out to my friend Nate at Laser Lakes. I don't think anyone out there makes maps at his level of detail.

Plus Nate is a genuinely nice guy!

Working on loon orders today. These are incredibly tedious and a bit nerve-wracking. I already wrecked two this week with imperfections.

And yet...the hardest part for me is still coming up. I just cannot get a good handle on framing.

Framing could very well be the end of me. The last frame I made, I re-did at least four times. I think I need some better tools that are made for framing and also a few good classes.

I wish there was a local Frame Guardian Angel/Frame Fairy Godmother that I could just farm the framing out to.
