A BEFORE & AFTER of my hall bathroom.
This suddenly became very beige and boring to me, so I decided it needed some drama!
My home has always been my place to try things before I recommend them to clients.
I don’t know that I would ever recommend this idea to anyone else, but it turned out great and I love it!
The walls are not wallpapered, they are covered with 3 shower curtains. I had ordered the shower curtains to give this bathroom some pattern and more color. I decided I didn’t like them as shower curtains, but I loved the pattern & colors. Then I had a light bulb moment! I got out the tape measure and realized if I put up a chair rail, I could upholster the walls with the shower curtains. And so I did! I finished the edges with grosgrain ribbon to cover the staples. My husband changed light and plumbing fixtures, and I painted the walls, trim & cabinet. I added a frame to the existing mirror. It was a very small budget refresh, that makes a very big statement.

In case you need a little last minute 4th inspiration. I’ve discovered the best Independence Day decor is super simple and inexpensive. Flags add just enough patriotism. It feels very summery and classic!

Just finished this tiny home guest house for the most darling little young lady. I believe she is my all-time favorite client! All kidding aside, this is literally trash to treasure. Someone in my neighborhood had put this playhouse on the curb for trash collection. It had a gaping hole in the roof from hail damage. I filled it with spray foam, then went to work painting the exterior. Believing no house is a home until the inside is made beautiful and cozy, I went to work wallpapering with peel-and-stick wallpaper and accessories to scale. Custom art over the mantle matches the kitchen I found at Goodwill for $4.99. A dog bed makes a nice, soft spot to pretend you're resting on the sofa. If I can make this trash look this nice, think of what I could do to make your house a gorgeous home. Call, text, or email me for an appointment.

Foyers aren’t just hallways.
It’s the first room your guests see. Make it feel like a “welcome home” hug.
Adding wainscoting and a grasscloth wallpaper instantly gave this foyer a new personality. Placing a table with a mirror & lamp warmed up the space, while the oil painting adds interest.
