Hey friends, we need to chat. We are a foster based rescue which means without fosters we can not save dogs. We don’t have a building we can hold dogs until fosters/adopters are found. Honestly we feel the best way to ready a dog for its forever home is to be in a foster home, not a shelter type building. Most of the time if we post a dog and don’t receive any foster applications then we just have to say no to helping that dog. As heartbreaking as it is to say no we just cant save them all.
This time is different. This is one of our own and we commit to our rescue dogs for the duration of their life. This dog was adopted from us in August of 2023. Kane FKA Jordan is a sweet and energetic boy who just wants to be loved. He needs a foster who is kind and patient. He is good with other dogs and lived previously with kids. He does jump when he gets excited so older children may be better. He is 40lbs so not too big. His crooked tail is not even the cutest thing about him!
His previous adopters dropped him off Tin Woof Inn Frankfort 2 weeks ago because we did not have a foster open that could take him. They agreed to pay for 2 weeks of boarding to give us time to move him. We have failed him. Our two weeks are up and we have no where for him to go. He is doing good in boarding but the longer he is there the more it will affect him. Tin Woof is a great facility but it is not a home. Tin Woof has offered to hold him a little longer but honestly the unexpected expense would be difficult for the rescue.
Please help us find this boy a foster home! The rescue will provide everything he needs including food, crate, toys and cover any medical expenses. We ask that fosters provide the love and guidance he will need to prepare him for his forever home, get him to our vet in Richmond if needed and get him to events in Lexington and surrounding areas.
If you can help please fill out the application. If you can’t foster, please share!
