Did you know that the Baby Basics Doll is designed with kids in mind.
As I was designing this crochet pattern, I made sure each part of it made sense for kids. The arms and legs and body are made in one piece so no doll surgery will be needed to reattach broken limbs. The clothes are made with wide openings and Velcro so that little hands can put them on independently. The 9 inch doll is the perfect size to tote around.
There were so many cute crochet dolls out there, but none of them were:
1. Easy to recreate for multiple kids.
2. Sturdy enough for daily play
3. Had clothes that kids could put on and take off by themselves.
My 6 and 8 year old daughters helped me test the design along the way until it was perfect!
