I had an old friend come out and make this amazing balloon arch her 2nd bday party - and holy cow! .eventco is a magician, it was exciting to see it come together so perfectly.

Just realized I haven’t posted in… months ت

I guess I’ve been doing a lot over here… to say the least. Our flower farm is growing, expanding and we had a great harvest this past season. The flower truck also had a fantastic first year. Oh… and on top of that I’m now the owner and manager of the Owosso Farmers Market! Holy cow.

Forever balancing work, family and rest. Squeezing in social updates to that, too. So I’ll be taking on a very limited amount of weddings for 2022. But - still creating lots of floral goods. Currently in dried wreath mode as I prep for a fun holiday market (at The Armory in Owosso on 12/2). Pop buy to pick up a dried floral wreath for yourself or to give as a unique gift!

Flowered a very special wedding in northern Michigan this weekend ♡︎ It was on their families property, in the woods and so cozy. There were so many handmade details by the couple and their family. All the centerpiece blooms were grown on our farm, the bride even foraged the moss used 🥲

“Someone else is already talking about that” is a killer. It only serves to deny the world the beauty of your voice. One of the great privileges of being alive in the body of a person (vs, like, a dolphin or a tree) is that we have the opportunity to share our stories and perspective and experiences with other people. Yes, it’s true: someone else will ALWAYS be doing it, and doing it beautifully. But that doesn’t diminish the value of your own story.

For a long time, I was reluctant to write publicly about any of this personal development/awareness/spirituality stuff I talk about over on , because I’m not saying anything NEW. These ideas are all as old as time, and they’ve all been expressed in different ways by other, wiser people. But eventually I got out of my own way. (I believe the phrase I’m looking for is “f**k it”?) Maybe something I share can help you suffer less than I did, or you’re smart enough to learn from my mistakes, or you need to make your own mistakes because that’s one of the cool features of the human existence, but it helps you to see evidence of someone else who’s taken a few dives down the stairs and hasn’t given up yet. I just know that I get to own my own story, and so do you.
