Beth Palser Fine Art

Beth Palser Fine Art Award Winning artist Selling Original Watercolors and Prints for the Home or Office, of Seascapes, Landscapes & Philadelphia scenes.

Great for Gift-Giving, Commissions are welcomed. Beth Palser, award winning watercolor artist from the Brandywine Valley in Pennsylvania, is the creator of a unique style of watercolor painting that has earned her quite a reputation and following. Viewers are attracted to her paintings because they are interested in her technique and use of color and most have never seen an approach to a tradition

al medium painted in such a manner. She uses rich layers of vibrant color against strong contrasting darks to give dimension to the paintings and the hard-edged brush strokes demonstrate texture and a clean graphic quality. To achieve this provocative painting style she uses liquid masking fluid extensively as a blocking agent for the colors and brushwork. This was derived from her early years as an artist while working for a silk screen print maker preparing the color separations for the screen. Combining these methods along with her background in Oil Painting and Graphic Design, the viewer has seen the birth of a modern sophisticated watercolor style called Graphic Realism, a realistic painting with a graphic undertone. During her 30 year career as a Painter, Palser has received more than 50 awards for her watercolors, including awards from prestigious national juried competitions. She has also exhibited in 10 Solo Shows, 10 Two Person Shows, over 100 Group and Invitational Shows and more than 350 Local and Regional Shows throughout the Mid-Atlantic States. Palser has achieved Signature Member Status in the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club in Manhattan and the Pennsylvania and Baltimore Watercolor Societies and is listed in the Who's Who of American Women. Palser's art is included in private and corporate collections throughout the United States and abroad. Palser has Original Watercolor Paintings and Limited Edition Prints available for the Home or Office of Landscapes, Seascapes and Philadelphia scenes. I hope these make you smile. There’s a story behind these paintings “Have a Good Day and Have a Good Night.”

When I was recovering from my spine surgery last year, Bill used to hide this smiley ball around the room each day and I had to find it, without looking too hard or bending over. It was “Game On”when I found it and then I would hide it, and Bill had to find it. Well, he hid the smiley ball one day in plain sight and I could not find it for a week. I was washing my hands at the kitchen sink and looked out the window like I always do, when out of the corner of my eye, I saw a glimpse of yellow, and there it was, just sitting on the windowsill. I couldn’t stop laughing. 😆
I smile every time I see that smiley ball. It’s still on the windowsill just where Bill left it. It’s a perfect reminder that he made me smile every day. So that is the story behind the painting, and Yes, I smiled each day when I was painting these little guys. 😊
