He attended Michigan State University where he received his Bachelors of Fine Arts degree. He has shown work throughout the state and taught Visual Arts for several years at various levels. As a mixed-media artist, Joe uses several different materials and a number of techniques. What inspires the work is Joe’s love of nature and his interest in spiritual matters. He tries to convey those concepts

with material choices and sensibility. Joe lives and works in southeast Michigan. Together with his wife Lisa, they own and operate Create Studios, which develops everything from delicate greeting cards to large scale concrete installation work.
