What are all those little clips between the tile? 🤔

If you've ever walked into a home while a backsplash or shower is being installed, you've probably noticed dozens of little plastic clips sticking out between the tiles.
Those aren't random—they're one of the details that help create a beautiful finished installation.

These clips are part of a tile leveling system that helps:
✔ Keep grout lines consistent
✔ Hold each tile at the correct height while the mortar cures
✔ Reduce "lippage" (when one tile sits higher than the next)
✔ Create the smooth, professional finish you expect

You may also notice that some clips face different directions. That's intentional! Depending on the tile layout, pattern, and where the installer is working, the clips are positioned differently to provide the best support and keep everything perfectly aligned.
