Every container tells a different story.

As we were sourcing in England, we found ourselves drawn to larger-scale pieces, rare finds, and the kinds of antiques we don't come across every day.

A matching pair of bookcases. Oversized cupboards. Dining tables full of character. A few original painted pieces. And even some darker woods to mix into the collection.

Once we purchase a piece, it’s carefully restored by skilled craftsmen in England who work to preserve the original character, patina, and history of the antique before it’s shipped to us.

We wanted to start sharing more of that process with you, so this marks the beginning of a new weekly restoration series here at Miles Mercantile.
