I love creating little moments like these in a home. ☁️✨

A comfy chair, soft lighting, a good book, and a quiet corner to unwind. Sometimes the simplest spaces bring us the most joy, especially on the weekends.

Want to create your own cozy spot? Start with a chair you love, add a reading lamp and a soft throw, and keep a small table nearby for your coffee. An ottoman gives you a place to put your feet up, too.

That unused corner might be all the space you need. You’ve got this!

You don’t need to turn your home into a haunted house to make it feel festive. Start with a space you already love and add a few seasonal touches:

• Something black, like a pair of candles.
• A little Halloween detail, like a crow.
• A few pumpkins in soft, neutral tones.

And voilà! A little Halloween without a whole lot of fuss. You’ve got this!

A little porch refresh, and I’m ready for fall!

I kept things pretty similar to last year and added a few new touches. As always, I started with a wreath and a pretty bow, this time in light blue. A few pumpkins and seasonal flowers, and voilà!

Now that my kids are older, I added a little Halloween fun with birds on the wall and a black crow. They’re easy to remove after Halloween, so the rest can stay through fall.

You don’t have to start from scratch. Use what you love, add a little something new, and make it your own. You’ve got this!

Your home should work for the way you actually live.

Here are 5 easy ways to make your space work better for you:

1. Move things to where you actually use them. Sometimes the simplest change makes the biggest difference.
2. Give clutter a designated landing spot. A basket, tray, or drawer can go a long way.
3. Fill the functional gaps. Add a drink table by your favorite chair, a basket where things tend to pile up, or a phone charger right where you need it.
4. Rethink your furniture placement. This is one of my favorites! Sometimes simply rearranging the furniture can be a total game changer.
5. Edit what you don’t use. You don’t always need to add something. Sometimes removing a few things is exactly what a space needs.

Remember, good design shouldn’t just look good. It should feel good and make everyday life a little easier.

Sometimes we get so used to living in a space that we stop noticing the little things making everyday life harder.

Here are 5 signs your room might not be working for you:

1. Clutter keeps collecting in the same spot.
2. Everyday items aren’t stored where you actually use them.
3. You’re missing those little functional pieces, like a drink table, basket, or tray.
4. You have furniture or spaces that rarely get used.
5. The room looks good, but somehow it just doesn’t feel easy.

The good news? You don’t need a complete room renovation. Sometimes a few small changes can completely change the way a space functions.

A little old. A little new. And a whole lot more interesting. 🤎

One of my favorite ways to give a home more personality is mixing pieces from different eras.

Pair an antique chest with a modern lamp.
Hang new artwork over a vintage console.
Mix Grandma’s favorite piece with something you just found last week.

Not everything has to match. In fact, it’s usually better when it doesn’t.

The goal is a home that feels collected over time, with pieces you love and a little history mixed in.

All the feels over here. 🤍

We officially sent our girl off to college, and while this mama heart is feeling a whole lot of emotions, we are SO incredibly proud of her and even more excited for everything ahead.

She gets to start her college experience with an incredible adventure in Costa Rica before heading back to the U.S. and starting at UNC in January. What a way to begin this next chapter!

We know she’s ready, even if we’re not quite ready for how quiet the house is going to feel. 🥹

And yes, I absolutely forced everyone into one last family photo before she left… because that’s what moms do. 🤍

Here’s to new places, new experiences, new friendships, and one very exciting adventure ahead. We love you and are so proud of you!
