Ground Beef Potato Casserole 🥔🥩🧀🔥
Ingredients:
1½ lbs ground beef
5–6 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1 cup sour cream
½ cup milk
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp salt
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Optional: ½ cup cooked bacon or sliced green onions
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and onion and cook for 6–8 minutes, breaking up the beef as it browns.
Add the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds. Drain excess grease.
Season the beef with Worcestershire sauce, paprika, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
In a bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and milk until smooth.
Spread a thin layer of the creamy sauce across the bottom of the baking dish.
Arrange half of the sliced potatoes in an even layer.
Spread half of the seasoned ground beef over the potatoes, followed by half of the creamy sauce and 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
Repeat with the remaining potatoes, beef, sauce, and cheese.
Dot the top with small pieces of butter, then cover tightly with foil.
Bake for 50–60 minutes, until the potatoes are tender.
Remove the foil and bake for another 15–20 minutes, until the cheese is bubbling and golden.
Garnish with fresh parsley and optional bacon or green onions.
Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
