Our latest project. This Spanish revival home in the Old Las Palmas neighborhood of Palm Springs was built in 1930. The house was renovated in 1995 and the kitchen had received a “contemporary upgrade,” two small bedrooms with en-suites were included and a large hall/galley connected the home to the side entry. There was also an awkward powder room in the kitchen and a bathtub in the primary bedroom. The new owners sought to create a more period appropriate kitchen, flipping the location of the dining area to maximize the stunning views of the San Jacinto Mountains. The powder room was converted to a walk in pantry and the hall/galley was converted to a butler’s pantry that includes a second dishwasher and wine fridge. One bedroom was eliminated to create a large primary bedroom with a beautifully appointed walk-in closet/dressing room. The new layout allowed the creation of a large primary bathroom with shower and soaking tub. The owners selected stunning hand-painted tile for the walls and vanity backsplash. The home was finished with semi-rough plaster walls and large plank wood floors throughout. Construction by C.W. Foster Inc.
