🇺🇸 Today marks 250 years since America’s founding, and it felt like the perfect day to talk about the oak tree, our national tree. It’s a fitting choice since oak species grow in all 50 states.

Oak wood has also long been prized for its strength and durability, going into everything from ships to buildings that helped carry this country forward.

Oak trees are valuable in the shade they provide in our communities, the nuts and habitat they provide for wildlife and the beauty and resiliency that they provide.

Felt fitting to celebrate a nation turning 250 with a little piece of that history.

Happy 4th of July, and happy America250! 🇺🇸
