The final cutting boards are complete! These two are matching and have bookmatched Zebrawood (matches are on the top side of the boards where the juice groove is) for the accent strip and it is bordered by Black Walnut with Maple as the main boards. This maple has a bit of quilting and a bit of curl in a few places of the grain.

Made a couple charcuterie boards that are already sold. I know the customer plans to gift them. I hope their recipient loves them, as I am pretty fond of how they turned out. Black Walnut, Yellowheart, Cherry, and Zebrawood.

Finished up these two beautiful long grain cutting boards. These are made to be used on either side, juice groove side for cooked meat slicing / serving and the smooth side for veggie prep. They are 16" wide, 12" deep, and 1 1/8" thick. They have a 3/8" juice groove and 3/4" grooved handles on each end. They are made from maple that has some nice figuring in places with two accent stripes of black walnut, as well as, the Board and Beard name engraving that is paint inlaid. Both are already sold.

My favorite part about making cutting boards is seeing that beautiful wood grain pop out when you hit it with that first coat of oil!

Just finished this box made of white ash and sapale. The ash was milled from a live edge slab offcut and joined using box joints. The sapale top and bottom was planed and joined using rabbet joinery. It has a chamfered top and bottom as well as a bit of vee carved floral filigree patterns that is inlaid with acrylic paint. It is finished with polyurethane.

Completed a very unique box for my friend Enjoy Art by Sara . It is made to mimic the design and size of a tin lunchbox, which she collects. I used black walnut and hickory. All of the hickory inserts are connected to the walnut via tongue and groove. The top and bottom walnut wrap contains miter joints and attach to the sides via a rabbet joint. The side styles are molded from a solid walnut piece. The construction allowed for the interior and exterior to have matching hickory framed by walnut, with all edges lining up with each other both inside and out. The tongue and groove joinery is clearly displayed when the lid is opened. All joinery was done using a dado stack in a table saw and hand chisels. "Enjoy" and the paint drops are inlays in the wood using acrylic epoxy resin. The entire box has 1/2“ roundover edges and is finished with polyurethane.
