The people who teach us our craft often become part of the way we carry it forward.

Thirty years ago, Dial Jensen and Sean McGowen helped shape the floral designer I was becoming. This year, they called on me to create alongside them for The Peninsula Beverly Hills’ 35th anniversary. A full-circle reminder of just how far a relationship, and a craft, can grow.

The Atelier ✨
If there was ever a way to close out WIPA’s first National Conference, this was it.

Designed by the incredibly talented Julian Leaver Events, The Atelier was an immersive celebration of artistry, creativity, and the kind of imagination that makes the wedding and events industry so special.

The conference ended with The Atelier, an incredible celebration of artistry designed by Julian Leaver Events. Getting to experience his creativity come to life through the closing gala was the perfect way to end an unforgettable three days. Julian Leaver Events

Every detail felt intentional. Every corner offered something new to discover. And somehow, after three days surrounded by some of the most talented people in the industry, we ended the weekend with even more inspiration than we started with.

There is something especially magical about attending an event created for event professionals. This is an industry that notices the details, understands the work behind the magic, and knows exactly what it takes to create an experience people will remember.
And The Atelier gave us plenty to remember.

WIPA’s FIRST National Conference ✨

What an incredible three days in Frisco, Texas, celebrating a milestone not only for WIPA, but for the wedding industry as a whole.

For the first time, WIPA brought wedding professionals from across the country together for a National Conference centered around three words: Meet. Innovate. Elevate.

And that is exactly what we did.

From inspiring main-stage speakers and conversations about the future of our industry, to breakout sessions, networking, the welcome celebration, and an unforgettable closing gala, every part of the experience was a reminder of just how much talent, creativity, knowledge, and passion exists within this community.
There is something incredibly special about being surrounded by hundreds of professionals who are not only creating beautiful celebrations, but actively shaping what the future of the wedding industry can look like.

To have been in the room for WIPA’s first National Conference, the very first of what I know will become an incredible tradition, is something I won’t soon forget.
Three days of learning from one another, connecting with one another, celebrating one another, and raising the bar together.

And if there’s one thing this weekend confirmed…
Wedding professionals really do know how to throw a party. 🥂
