Here’s the thing….

We aren’t just your average American rug company. And we don’t just source our rugs from a location we know nothing about, to make a buck.

Our rugs are made in our home of Morocco, and weaved by the women in the High Atlas Mountains. Each rug is unique and one-of-a-kind, just like the women and families that make them.

Just like each (cared for) sheep who provides the live wool, and just like the saffron, pomegranates, and natural resources that fill our rugs with color, character, and personality.

Just like the culture and character you find when you walk the Souks of Morocco and visit… Something I look forward to each time I visit too.

Anyone else loving that checkered prints are back!?

We are loving the checkered designs that have emerged this year and will be taking every bit of it into the new year with us 😌.

This stylish, modern, edgy yet simple design element, has the ability to elevate any space— which is why we are thrilled to bring it to life in our Moroccan rugs.

This checkered rug is made of natural live wool. It was handwoven by the female weavers in Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains, specifically in the Ait Ougharda tribe. This checkered rug highlights a black & white checkerboard that fills the entirety of the rug.

Welcome! I’m Hamada, owner of Desert to Desert! 🐪🏜️

The name Desert to Desert has significant meaning to me since I relocated from Marrakech to Phoenix in 2017 – from the Sahara Desert to the Sonoran Desert – hence the name Desert to Desert.

Growing up in Marrakech, I was surrounded by vendors in the stores and at the souks selling Moroccan rugs to tourists and visitors. I have the background and knowledge to know the difference between premium authentic handmade rugs and those that aren’t.

My goal is to find rugs that integrate the ageless process of weaving from the Middle and High Atlas Mountains artisans with designs that will elevate your home décor and as a Moroccan, I can source exceptional rugs.

Desert to Desert is operated in Phoenix, Arizona, and currently sells online and at Scottsdale Market Place.

Each rug is unique and one of a kind, so you know you are receiving a piece of authentic, unique, culture to admire in your space for years to come.
