Sweet Natalia is three years old and was diagnosed with Leukemia in June of last year. She shares a room with her parents and was ready to move up into a big girl bed. We created a soft pastel bedroom for her to grow into and her parents to share, along with a cozy reading nook perfect for snuggles, stories, and quiet moments together.

Her big brother Michael, 13, also received a room makeover designed around his favorite colors, green and blue, with subtle gaming-inspired touches.

Being part of these transformations with is always such an honor. Creating spaces that bring comfort, joy, and a little peace during incredibly difficult seasons is something that stays with you long after install day. 💫

I’m excited to share that JC Licht recently did a feature on my business, including a Q&A sharing more about my approach to interiors—how I design, what I prioritize, and how I help clients create spaces that truly feel like home.

Good design goes so much deeper than what you see at the end. It’s about understanding how you live, what matters to you, and creating something that feels both intentional and personal.

Another unforgettable makeover!

Oscar is 17 and was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in July of last year. As his needs changed, his bedroom was thoughtfully moved to the first floor, creating a space that could truly support him. Knowing his love for football (and especially the Cowboys), we leaned into those iconic colors to design a room that feels both comforting and inspiring...a place to rest, recharge, and heal.

And because every sibling deserves something special too, his 14-year-old brother Diego received a brand new bedroom of his own.

These spaces are so much more than rooms—they’re moments of joy, strength, and care during incredibly challenging times. Grateful to be a small part of it. ❤️

A Special Spaces makeover for three incredible kids !

For Bodie — an energetic, fun-loving 4-year-old who was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma in May. He loves building Legos — we created an inspiring space where imagination can run wild, creations can take shape, and there’s room to rest and recharge.
His sisters’ rooms were redesigned to reflect who they are:

📚 Riley wanted a soft, beachy-toned, calming space made for reading and relaxing.

🎨 Reese dreamed of soft pinks paired with bold, vibrant pops of color — full of personality and joy.
Both girls asked for cozy reading nooks… because sometimes the best escape is a good book.

This project is a reminder that cancer doesn’t just affect one child — it impacts the entire family. Creating spaces of comfort, creativity, and healing for all of them is what makes this work so meaningful.

In their mom’s words:
“We cannot thank you enough for the amazing experience you provided our children, especially Bodie, who has endured so much more than any child ever should. From the planning and vision boards, the the ex*****on, you made their bedroom dreams come true… Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for volunteering your time, energy, and efforts making this an unforgettable memory.”

I am so grateful to be part of something bigger than design — creating joy, comfort, and memories that last. 💫

Meet Landon — an active 17-year-old whose world changed earlier this year with a Leukemia diagnosis. Between treatments and long hospital stays, he dreamed of a cozy, lounge-style space where he could rest, recover, game, and just be a teen again.

This past week, Special Spaces made that dream real. 💙✨

And because love surrounds him at home, sisters Caroline and Emmy received beautiful new rooms too—soft blues and blush tones chosen just for them.
A home full of strength. A family full of heart.

" I just have to let you know I legit could not sleep last night knowing what you all did for our family. I mean it. I keep replaying everything in my head let alone walking in their rooms and I can’t help but tear up. This is something we would not have been able to do for our children. Now they all have a special space that they love. A space they can call their own. A dream space that will be there with them as they create new memories. This truly went above and beyond anything we could have imagined and I just can’t thank you enough. We are so very thankful. .. My heart is so full and it is because of people like you, donors and all the volunteers who take time out their busy day to create something so special and magical for kids who could really use it...
