Frankie built Scraps from a few old patches, some crooked stitches, and two tiny bolts.

He wasn’t sure he’d done it right.

Then one stormy night…

“Meow.”

Frankie nearly fell out of his chair. 😂

Scraps stretched, shook his little stitched tail, and jumped straight into Frankie’s arms.

Frankie smiled.

“Well, look at that… I made myself a best friend.”

I mean, I could have sworn it was August 18th yesterday. 😂🤣

Only 128 days until Christmas, and in crafter math that’s basically next Tuesday. 😳

Good morning crafty friends… we survived last night’s live. 😂

And by survived, I mean I was driving the CRAFTY STRUGGLE BUS with both hands while the wheels were falling off. 🚌🤣

The hot glue gun didn’t want to glue, nothing wanted to cooperate, and THEN there was that boot. 😳👢 Lord help me, that boot about did me in.

As you can see, our little scarecrow is currently sporting the one-boot look. At this point I seriously considered turning him into a peg-leg pirate scarecrow just so I wouldn’t have to make another one. 😂🏴‍☠️

KIDDING! I’ll make the poor guy another boot. 🤣

But we’re getting there! He still needs all his fun little accessories — his little ant friend crawling up his arm 🐜, a bird on his hat, a couple of crows, pumpkins, his sash and, of course, his birdhouse.

So he’s not quite finished yet…but considering the chaos that went into getting him THIS far, I think I’m winning..😂

Thank you to everyone who climbed aboard the struggle bus and hung out with me during my chaotic live last night. ❤️ You guys make even the crafting disasters fun!

PART TWO coming soon…because apparently this little fella and I still have some unfinished business. 😂

And yes…he WILL have two boots. Probably. 🤣👢

Hi crafty friends… if I remember how to go LIVE 😂 I’m going to attempt to turn this pile of random s**t into a scarecrow tonight. 🤣🌻

I sure hope I haven’t lost my crafty mojo! Sometimes life gets so dang busy it seems to grab your mojo, hide it somewhere, and then forget to tell you where it put it. 😂

So I’m digging through the wood scraps, fabric, beads and whatever else I can find and hoping my brain remembers what to do with it all. 😳

Sorry, crafty friends! 😂 I really thought today was going to be a crafting day… apparently my house had other plans.

Between vacation, mandatory overtime, and generally being about 47 chores behind in life, I am currently knee-deep in housework. 😩😂 At this point I’m just moving piles from one room to another and calling it progress.

BUT… look what my mama made! 🥰 Is this little scarecrow not the stinking cutest thing?! I absolutely LOVE him.

So my plan.. assuming the laundry doesn’t reproduce overnight is to get on tomorrow and see if we can turn Mama’s little guy into a fun scarecrow project together. 🤞❤️

Pray for me, friends. I have to find my craft table first. 😂😂😂

Buster was out on the porch, minding his own business—or at least pretending to—when the tiniest little visitor came scurrying by.

One little paw reached out… the mouse froze… and for a second they just stared at each other.

I’m pretty sure Buster was thinking, “Are you a snack… or are we friends?” 😂

Luckily for the little mouse, curiosity won.

So I guess Buster has a new porch buddy. ❤️
