MJH DesignArts was founded in 1991 and is an evolution of Mary Tindukasiri's passion for fine antique furniture, paintings and decorative arts. The initial focus of MJH was based on Mary's extensive ex-pat living experiences and reflected a mix of European, Hispanic and American elements. MJH DesignArts' current inventory includes 18th and 19th century paintings, engravings and drawings in additio
n to Spanish Colonial artwork and 18th through 20th century furniture. Over the last three years MJH DesignArts has developed and created a unique line of custom one-of-a-kind lamps chandeliers and sconces. These pieces incorporate antique elements, carved and gilt fragments, antique bronzes, custom Lucite, faux marble and semi-precious minerals such as Brazilian rock crystal, turquoise, agate and tourmaline. Each lamp is unique and many of the lamps embody the spirit of "little bit of funk." MJH Designarts’ Chinoiserie Pagoda Sconces were featured in the room designed by Michelle Nussbaumer for the Veranda Greystone Manor design show house. MJH DesignArts designs and fabricates decorative pillows using only vintage and antique Mariano Fortuny fabrics. The pillows are created to the highest dressmaker standards with tiny welting, high-end designer silks and fillers composed of 30% down to 70% feather. MJH DesignArts’ client bases includes many of Los Angeles’ top designers and dealers. Our pillows have been shipped throughout the U.S. and our lighting has been shipped internationally. MJH DesignArts works with local transport companies to facilitate national and international shipping once a sale has been completed.
