**Weather Update for Ohio and Indiana**
A cluster of thunderstorms is moving east-southeast from southern and eastern Iowa, likely reaching parts of Indiana and northern Illinois by early afternoon. This system may produce strong winds and localized damage.
While the potential for more severe storms across the Midwest and Great Lakes is uncertain, daytime heating could create moderate instability by early to mid-afternoon.
In Indiana, stronger upper-level winds may lead to a mix of multicell storms and some supercells, posing risks of hail and damaging winds. In southern Indiana and Ohio, multicell clusters are expected to be the main storm type, bringing scattered severe winds as they move east-southeast into the early evening. These storms should weaken later as they approach the Lower Great Lakes and central Appalachians.
