🍔✨ HOMEMADE HAMBURGER BUNS ✨🍔
Soft, fluffy, and perfect for your homemade burgers!
🥣 Ingredients
For the Dough:
2/3 cup warm water (150 ml)
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened (85 g)
1 large egg
3 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon warm milk (50 ml)
2 ¼ teaspoons instant yeast (1 packet – 7 g)
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 ½ teaspoons salt
4 cups all-purpose flour (500 g)
For Greasing:
1 tablespoon melted butter (15 g)
For Topping:
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon sesame seeds

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast and mix briefly. Make a well in the center, then add the warm water, warm milk, softened butter (let it sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes before using), and the egg. Knead the dough for at least 8–10 minutes until it becomes smooth and slightly sticky to the touch. Cover the bowl and let it rise for 45 minutes.
Once risen, divide the dough into 4–6 equal portions depending on your baking dish size. Shape each portion into a smooth ball. Grease small oven-safe dishes with melted butter and place the dough balls inside. Let them rise again for 20 minutes.
Brush the tops with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven, let cool, and serve.
💡 Tips
Measuring cups may vary slightly, so you can add liquids gradually if needed. The dough should be soft and slightly sticky. Proper kneading ensures a smooth texture. For softer buns, place a small oven-safe bowl of water on the bottom rack of the oven while baking to create steam. Baking time may be slightly longer if using individual baking dishes. If the bottoms are golden brown, the buns are done.
