We're thrilled to share that our Midwinter Apartments project has officially received design certification!

Achieving PHIUS certification is a significant milestone, demonstrating the thoughtful coordination, meticulous detailing, and high-performance building strategies required to meet one of the industry's most rigorous standards for energy efficiency. At DMS design, llc, sustainability is at the core of our approach, and we're proud to design housing that is not only affordable, but also resilient and environmentally responsible.

Midwinter Apartments will be a five-story, new construction development providing 34 affordable apartments to the city of Quincy, creating safe and dignified homes for individuals in need. Working alongside Caritas Communities & NeighborWorks Housing Solutions, this project will expand access to high-quality affordable housing while supporting a more sustainable future.

We're excited to celebrate the recent completion of two new recovery and rehabilitation centers at 10 Technology Drive in Lowell, MA.

What makes this project especially unique is that two independent organizations, Vinfen and Spectrum Health Systems, Inc., chose to locate their services within the same building, creating an environment where individuals can more easily access a wider range of support throughout their recovery journey. While each organization operates separately, having these complementary services under one roof helps improve accessibility and creates a stronger network of care for the community.

Projects like this are especially meaningful to us because they align with our mission. Access to recovery, rehabilitation, and supportive services can be a critical step toward achieving long-term stability and housing security. By creating spaces that support these services, we're helping provide opportunities for individuals to take those important first steps forward.

We're proud to have worked alongside an incredible team to bring this project to life and are excited to see the positive impact it will have on the Lowell community for years to come!

As first-time NeoCon attendees, we were blown away by the amount of design inspiration, industry knowledge, and innovative products on display. DMS design, llc had a great night at Citizens' Housing and Planning Association, Inc. CHAPA 59th Annual Dinner, catching up with friends, clients, and industry partners celebrating the progress being made in affordable housing.

As a firm deeply involved in affordable housing design, it’s inspiring to be surrounded by so many people and organizations working towards the shared goal of creating more equitable, accessible homes.

Last week, the DMS design, llc team celebrated the ribbon cutting for 150 River Street Village—a project more than 10 years in the making.

This new age-restricted development brings 30 crucial mixed-income housing units to the Mattapan community, helping older residents remain in the neighborhoods they’ve called home for decades. As housing costs continue to rise, developments like this are critical to preserving access to community, transportation, healthcare, and dignity in aging.

We’re incredibly proud to have been part of a project that creates not just housing, but stability and opportunity for residents to continue thriving in their community.

Looking for a community-driven, transit-oriented apartment complex that offers vibrant and engaging living? This proposed development at 201 Brighton is designed to deliver just that!

This proposed six-story building will replace an underutilized industrial site and bring 145 residential units, both affordable and market rate, along with ground-floor retail space to the heart of Allston. The building will be Passive House certified at completion and will feature a robust amenities package including a coworking space, lounge, family-oriented rec room, Uber lounge, and not one, but two, roof decks!

We’re thrilled to be working with DND Homes on this transformative project bringing some much-needed housing to the city. Stay tuned for what's next!

It’s one thing to celebrate the recognition, but holding the physical award makes it even more meaningful.

Projects like these are exactly what is all about.

We’re excited to share before-and-after highlights from a recently completed occupied interior renovation of a historic factory building in Lynn, MA—an affordable housing community home to hundreds of senior residents.

Working alongside Redwood Housing, whose commitment to quality, safe, and comfortable housing closely aligns with our own, Redwood’s resident-focused approach helped guide which areas to prioritize to ensure the greatest benefit for residents.

Focused on enhancing the building’s amenity spaces, updates included refreshed lobby areas, a welcoming community room, salon, and library, along with new amenities such as a fitness center and computer lab.

One of our favorite details? The new wayfinding signage, thoughtfully designed to celebrate the building’s past lives and showcase historic photos of Lynn from the time the building was originally constructed.
