A small relining and rebuild we did this weekend in St. Johnsbury. I precast the crown earlier this week, it made for a simple completion of the chimney, and will be very durable.

I am glad to be attending the 18th annual meeting of the Masonry Heater Association at the Wildacres Retreat in Little Switzerland, NC this week. I am participating in the Heater Mason Education and Development program, as well as attending many other workshops and seminars this week. A corbel that I cut to support a mantle on the fireplace that I am building. I cut the radius by hand, using pneumatic chisels, once cut, I torched all of the sawn faces with oxy/acetylene to produce a thermaled finished face. I have one more to cut tomorrow.
