Pictured here is a 1916-S I believe is on a light planchet. It appears to weigh 2.8 grams.

In my mind the coin is in pretty good shape given that it's 110 years old, but certainly not anywhere near MS 65. What's your opinion?

The reverse seems to have some faint stamping as well. I've seen faint stamping on the reverse of many of these wheat pennies but I've yet to learn how to tell between normal wear, die deterioration, or struck through grease.

Pictured here is a 1935-S that is fairly well weathered and worn. The mint mark seems that it could be repunched. Variety Vista has no known varieties for this year.

The reverse has a weak spot. I've seen similar wear on many coins and I assume its weathering, but maybe it's some sort of die deterioration?

I've included the best pictures I could manage with my current rig.

For people with more experience, does this resemble a RPM? If it is a RPM, will it add any additional value in its current worn condition? Worth getting graded?

What is a "Woody" wheat penny? Based on my research, it is a coin which has incomplete alloy mixing and displays a "wood grain" like texture, typically found on wheat cents 1940's and earlier. It is a minor flaw that has been repeated many times. Some collectors may pay a small premium ($1-2) for a pleasing example.

Pictured here is a 1916-S Lincoln Wheat Cent I found today that could be an example of a woody, or just another example of Post Mint Damage. What traits or characteristics does one look at to properly identify a "Woody" ? Is this a good example?

I found this 1953-D Lincoln Wheat Cent which appears to have a large die crack on the obverse extending from the tie down past the shoulder.

Is there anything I missed? Does a die crack add any value to a coin such as this?
