Frostmas 2026.

Although I don’t think the fields got completely fried…. They are tired. And so am I.

Oddly enough, we will be spending several more weeks preparing for the hard freeze.

If you see me out here using the zero-turn like a brush hog, don’t you worry… I’ve done this before. It’s therapeutic…. And we can’t afford a tractor.

Weekends have seemed to be flying by and the earlier sunsets have kept me from the fields.

And, if I’m being honest, I got pretty down from getting owned by pests at the end of the Summer season.

I didn’t succession well enough this Summer to have the Fall crops that we really needed after losing the Spring tulips but always planning, plotting and pivoting over here!

It’s Sunday afternoon… after a rain delay, there are a couple bouquets available at POG Brewing Company!

Happy National Dog day to our favorite Marigold.

Protector and chaser of the ducks. Destroyer of flowers. Finder of all sticks and dead mice. Ultimate terrorizer the barn cats.

But she’s cute and loves deep. So happy you are ours.

We ❤️ our girl.

This time of year things get MESSY.

Why?

1. We only harvest and save perfect blooms. Missed harvest window… trash. Imperfections… trash. Bug damage…. Trash.

2. Deadheading. The blooms that are trash (aka burn pile blooms)… are taking energy away from the plant that could be used to fuel new, better blooms.

Oddly enough, it can be pretty therapeutic this time of year to just snip and trash. Burn out is real and this does actually help. It might be the muttering of choice words as I chop heads off that make feel a bit better also.

We forgot our new flag 🤦‍♀️ but the truck bed stocked! At POG Brewing Company 🌻🍻❤️Go snag one or two! 💲10 each
