Bruxvoort's Home Center has the typical small-town family-owned story. It was the dream of Pella natives Dick and Linda Bruxvoort to open their own business. As business took off they added furniture, window treatments, and appliances to the mix. Over the last several decades Bruxvoort's has grown. Russ and Jacque Zondervan now own the store and are excited to offer flooring, furniture, mattresses

, appliances, appliance repair, window treatments, accessories, and design services to the Pella, Oskaloosa, our surrounding communities and central Iowa. Here's something most people don't think about until it's too late: barstool height actually has a formula. 🪑

For a comfortable seat, you want about 9 to 13 inches between the top of your stool and the underside of your counter or island. Counter height surfaces (36") need a counter stool. Bar height surfaces (42") need a bar stool. They're not interchangeable!

Save this before you shop so you don't end up with stools that don't fit. 📐
