Ever walk into a house that just feels right? It's almost never because everything matches, it's because the elements are actually talking to each other.

A few rules for a seamless flow:

* Connect your palette. Letting a key accent color (like these olive and leafy green tones) carry from room to room keeps the eye moving naturally.
* Repeat key finishes. Use similar finish tones and accent materials throughout to create subtle, quiet continuity.
* Layer rich textures. Combining tailored upholstery, warm wood tones, woven shades, and glazed ceramics keeps a bright neutral space from feeling flat.
* Honor the architecture. Consistent trim profiles and clean casings give the whole house a grounded baseline.

Good design isn't about rigid perfection, it's about creating a space that feels warm, balanced, and completely like home.

Wrapping up a busy behind-the-scenes week back in the office!

After days split between the upholstery workroom and showroom shopping with a client, yesterday was a full mix fabric sourcing and space planning, followed by an in-home client consultation (swipe to see the dated wallpaper we are tackling!) Behind every beautiful design is a lot of hidden reality.

Today, I’m tying up some of the week's loose ends and diving into some creative play along with essential office work, emails and double checking order details, while pulling together a timeless concept board.

People are often surprised to learn that actual designing is only about 20% of the job, the other 80% is running the business, managing the logistics, and making the design actually happen.

Kickstarting a busy behind-the-scenes week at the workroom! Today I'm dropping off this gorgeous vintage armchair frame and a classic Brunschwig & Fils textile to be beautifully restored.

One of my favorite parts of the design process is giving pieces with incredible "bones" and craftsmanship a second life. The quality of a solid older frame paired with a beautiful, high-performance new weave is completely unmatched.

From tired and dated to timeless cottage charm! 🏡

Classic maple flooring replaced the choppy carpet and tile, new quartz countertops replaced the old black shiny granite, and the flat ceiling was transformed into an airy loft that completely opened up the space. Through careful design planning and material selection, the rooms were finished in a soft, inviting paint palette. They are now the perfect backdrop for the client's collected, lived-in furniture and personal style.

Loved helping this client shape the design vision and select the perfect color palette and finishes to bring it all to life!

A little corner view from my kitchen 🍋

When styling, I love using a subtle thread to tie a space together. This little corner has unexpectedly become a mini tribute to Italy, from the Ilve brass-trimmed range and the vintage Italian artwork, to my new favorite addition, this Sicilian Testa di Moro vase that I just brought back from Italy.
