The Macon County Chamber of Commerce commissioned this ag piece to use on their annual report cover and the original was gifted to speaker Donald Chase. Donald also happens to be a good family friend and one of our board of directors at so it made this extra special to work on.

When I was painting it Dot asked me to make prints available to people afterwards as well. You can find prints in my online shop if you’d like to own this ag art as well.

Hey friends! I’m going to take a sabbatical for an undetermined amount of time.

I have a list of commissions I’m working on and then I’m taking a break.

Life has been incredible and filled with so many wonderful artistic opportunities. Then my daughter took over socials and opportunities (and sales) exploded. And I’m grateful for each and every one.

Also, I need to catch my breath for a minute and make space for rest. And make some time to make some decisions.

The noise around me has gotten a little too loud and I just need to seek quiet so I can hear what’s important. And just be.

Sometimes when we get what we thought we wanted, we realize it’s the thing causing us stress instead of joy.

I appreciate all of you. I’ll see you in real life (and sometimes here). ❤️

Seeing all these Cherry Blossom Festival posts has me feeling pink with nostalgia. 🌸 I loved creating the festival pin artwork in 2021 and 2022 and working with my childhood friend on the design!

The perfect morning activity downtown in - sketching in front of for about 45 minutes this morning. Then I gifted them the sketch. What a cute shop!

When Mom and I planned our mountain getaway weekend, I had a few must-dos including sketching downtown.

I love shopping in downtown Clayton but I also enjoy admiring the beautiful buildings and capturing them on paper.
