I used a new Hot Foil Die set, Framed & Fabulous to make this card. It will be available on September 1. The background was embossed with the Swirls of Magic embossing folder. I really like the way hot foil enhances my card projects. Come to one of my classes and you can give it a try! Next class is on Wednesday, September 9.

This card was created with a Cajun Craze cardbase and the background paper is the August Product of the Month. You can get a whole package of this paper (12 sheets: 2 each of 6 single-sided designs 12x12) for only $5 with a $75 purchase. Don't wait. Product of the Month items sell out pretty quickly. I used copper foil to cut out the shape using the Flourish & Frames dies, but on this card I used the Reverse Hot Foil Die (available in September.) The leaves are also hot foiled with copper foil, and then ink was blended on them using the masks. The leaf bundle is Lustrous Leaves, also available in September. I stamped the greeting from the Rolling Waves stamp set, using Cajun Craze ink. Can you tell that I really like to hot foil?? Come to my class on Friday, August 28 (1-3 pm in Petaluma, CA) and you can create this or a similar card!

A square of of Summer Happiness Washi Tape, with an embossed background and trim (Swirls of Magic and Mini Corrugated 3D) and you have a great card to cheer someone up!

Yesterday I played around with Lustrous Leaves Hot Foil Dies, coming out in September. The leaves on this card were made using three different techniques. For the large leaf, I used the new copper foil and then used the matching masks to blend in color. There are also regular dies to cut out the individual leaves. I used the new Reverse Hot Foil Die to get the reverse foil images onto cardstock and then cut those out, along with the smaller leaves (15 dies!) from other colors. The background paper is August's Product of the Month, Glow Harvest, a beautiful pack of autumn paper. I will be demonstrating how to make this card at my class on August 28. I used paper from Stampin' Up! Moonlit Flora paper as well as the coordinating dies to create this card. One of my favorite papers!
