My next project in Alaska- China P**t. Even more remote than the last one in Homer. This time we had a bit more time. So one trip to order furniture, from architectural plans as the house was still being built. Always a challenge- that I like.
Three months later a second trip to pick up furniture and shop for accessories. Then the 4 hour drive back down to Homer, in a blizzard! Global warming happed and we woke the next day to a sunny October day to get it all loaded on a boat to take to the house. It was beautiful and I still cannot believe how incredible this house is inside and out. What a great vaca rental this is....

My Homer Alaska project. Wonderful to help furnish a vacation home and get a bit of vacation too.
But it was work, not like the lower 48 states where we have everything so close to buy. You can not even just have Amazon ship whatever you want. We power shopped in Anchorage and rented a U Haul to drive 4 hours to Homer.
What an experience!

The clients sent me the before photo and some ideas of things they liked. We collabrated over the internet and phone. New paint, flooring, vanity, toliet and a glass Euro style shower door. They kept the tub and had it resurfaced. Tiled the backsplash and tub surrournd to match. I think they did a great job!
I am ecxited at how it turned out. Kept them on budget and still delivered style with this update.

Seems like more people are into updating their existing bath keeping oak vanity and original tile. There has been a bit of interest to do this lately. I love it, recycling at it's best. And it is coming out great. This is the first..more to .....

We added new tile floor, paint to update/compliment the older tile and a great wood shelf to round things out literally! All on a budget
