My husband took one bite of this and stood at the counter with graham crackers until I finally moved the bowl away 😂

There is a particular tiredness that comes from always being the woman who understands, makes room and says it is fine when it isn’t.

These days, I dream of a little house near the trees, books stacked beside a comfortable chair and a cat who considers my lap the centre of the universe. Somewhere I can finish a thought without interruption and drink my tea while it is still warm.

I still want love, laughter and people at my table. I want the kind I can be myself around, who hear “no” without needing an explanation.

The witch in me has grown rather fond of her own company. Anyone coming through the woods will need an invitation.
