Builders often work with established cabinet suppliers and offer a standard set of lines. That can make planning easier, but it doesn’t mean you’re limited to those options. Before you sign off, ask who makes the cabinets, what the cabinet boxes are made of, and what other options are available.

Our wood cabinets can often be repaired or refinished, depending on the material and finish. Particleboard generally can’t be sanded and refinished the same way. You’ll use your cabinets every day, and they’re one of the most visible parts of your kitchen. Make sure you know what’s going into your home and speak up for the cabinets you actually want.
