I love having unique pieces that aren’t always from a big box store. If you haven’t given flea markets, antique stores, or thrift stores a chance you really should.

Where’s your favorite place to shop for home decor?

I did it!! Today I rang the bell to mark the completion of my chemo! šŸ””

Thank you to all of my family and friends who came today to celebrate and support me at my bell ringing. Seeing all your faces reminded me how incredibly blessed I am. 🩷Love you all!

This journey hasn’t always been easy, but through every appointment, treatment, fear, and every victory, God has been faithful. His strength carried me when I didn’t have my own, His peace calmed my heart, and His love surrounded me.

Today wasn’t just about ringing a bell—it was a celebration of God’s goodness, His faithfulness, and the hope He has given me every step of the way. Thank you for every prayer, every text message, every call, every meal, every hug, and for walking this journey with our family. Your support has meant more than words can express.

God is so good. To Him be all the glory. ā¤ļøšŸ””

I wanted to share some of my thoughts about Cold Capping.

I chose to use the system mainly due to the fact that I could rent them and the cost per month was cheaper for me in the beginning of treatment and I had the flexibility to finish capping at home when I was done with my chemo sessions.

Some people may not understand, but for me cold capping was about keeping myself feeling as normal as possible during this whole process and not looking sick. I didn’t want sympathy looks when out in public and people wondering what was wrong with me. My hair has always been a big part of my identity and I felt if I lost all my hair I would really lose myself. Not everyone will understand that and that’s ok.

I started with a lot of blonde curly hair and it was long. I finished my chemo on Monday, July 20th and think I probably lost about 40-50% of my hair. I have lots of thin spots in the front above my ears and behind what I call my ā€œcomb overā€ in the sides of my part. They say it can take another 1-3 months to get back to normal with hair washing and shedding to taper down. Anxious to see what happens with my hair.

Cold capping is awful! It’s bone chilling cold, long days, and I can’t stand the smell of dry ice or the caps.

Happy to answer any questions you have. Prayers for everyone going through this. 🩷 You are strong and God is it’s you every step. šŸ™
