There’s more than one way to skin a cat.. There’s more than one way to join two or more boards. With our furniture and builds being custom, we always like to keep strength and longevity in mind. We don’t have the most expensive product on the market, but we can assure you that each piece will be sturdy. The quality of wood is already present in this reclaimed lumber, we’re just trying to give it new purpose. This wood has well over a hundred more years to live! Hopefully even longer!

Until we get our new kiln up and running, we have to take other measure to get the wood at the right moisture level. It may not be the prettiest, but it is effective.

As we roll out some final glamor shots of this freestanding bar, that now lives on this beautiful ranch, we would love to take the opportunity to share some specs.
This personal cocktail bar measures - 65 x 22 x 45” tall.
The whole facade and top are made entirely from reclaimed oak. The top and sides are constructed from old shipping container pieces and the front is made completely from old white oak flooring. Sometimes the camera only does so much, but if you look closely you can see some beautiful grain in the dark stained wood. The epoxy especially helps give this sort of holographic effect on the grain showing dark at certain angles and more of a caramel tone at other viewpoints. We took the opportunity to take it up a level, and added slots for hanging wine glasses underneath the top, and a cheeky bottle opener for those Texas beer lovers.
