BAD Stitch Birthday!!

I don't really celebrate my birthday, but I do design a birthday pattern pertinent to what's happening in my life as a slight acknowledgement of my aging.

You may have seen my previous post, highlighting my other birthday patterns and what they meant to me. The common trend is animals. I just really love animals. And this year is no different. Over the last couple months, we have "befriended" a barred owl. I put that in quotations because it's definitely made eye-contact with us, swooped over our heads, and keeps returning to our yard to hunt for protein. We know there's two of them, and we hear their babies nearby. And! We awoke one day to find A BEAUTIFUL FEATHER GIFT. So to gloat, we've officially befriended ravens, crows, AND owls now.

This design! It's based off the barred owl(s) that visit us. I added my usual candypop flair and a frog, hanging from the balloon! This pattern IS VERY COLOR CUSTOMIZABLE. I give lots of options, or you can pull out your fancy flosses! I went with Seasons for the variegated balloon, and DMC etoile for the starry details.

New in Shop - Cottage Witch Sampler

Here's something a little soft for you to stitch. We've got all the cute witchy vibes! A bow and a pretty ribbon, a chicken-legged teapot pouring a spooky cup of tea, a crystal ball looking to the stars, and some bats flying around with some keys! I've included two color palettes, the soft cream, pink, and navy color key, and a more retro Halloween with orange, purple, and greens.

Sea Otter ~ With all the choices!

Here's another throwback to a cute otter design! I wanted to play with using fabric as part of the design, which makes this one fun. You get to dip into your stash of fabrics and find the perfect watery look. (Or galaxy? How cute would that be?) This sea otter was originally designed for an Earth Day collaboration in 2023, hence the tiny little Earth, but I added other items that your otter could be holding! A starfish, a Pride heart, a book, a pup, or even a skull.

New Design - Stargazing Moth
(and on behalf of my husband, alternate title "Intergalactic Pollinator."

My latest design was inspired by a cecropia moth, which is a big, chonky, fuzzy moth! It's like a flying stuffed animal, really.

This design has a cecropia moth, but celestial-coded, holding a twig of nightshade, which carries a delicate orb with the Big Dipper constellation. And yes, I used metallic floss again! This time it's DMC Diamant, which is (mostly) attainable and easier to use.

My model is on 16ct Merlot by . Absolutely gorgeous and a joy to stitch on.

Last call for the Poison Dart Dragon on my Patreon!
