Restoring a 70 year old wool carpet. For the history buffs.....
Production Timeline:

• Mid-1950s (The Peak): The 500-series numbering sequence (like this Pattern 501-5) aligns with manufacturing color catalogs from the mid-1950s. This was the absolute peak era for their famous advertising campaign, "Those heavenly carpets by Lees."
• Late 1950s–1960s: While Duratwist remained a gold standard for durability, the industry shifted rapidly toward synthetic nylon in the late 50s and 60s, phasing out these early 100% heavy wool twist lines
