Hello to all you amazing glowing beautiful faces. If ya got a spare second, We just wanted to share some dope and exciting news!

We’re back in the city after a trip out west. It was a major reset after working our buns off this summer. As a team we managed to tackle some finical debt, improve our physical fitness, focused on our mental health and wrote a business plan for our new venture launching Spring 2025 😤

Our main goal in the meantime before we launch in the spring, is to bring you fresh new ideas courtesy of the fabulous Sydney Wells Lalancette 🔥💅🏽. Stay tuned in the next few weeks for pop ups and events coming your way!

We realize that everyone may not be feeling like you’re glowing in the midst of the hatred in the world. We hope these positive messages and images make your day just a little bit more smiley. 😁 ❤️🌍

Thank you everyone for taking time to read this. We can’t wait to reconnect and makes our rounds seeing all you beautiful faces as we settle into our new home 🏠 🦅

Hawt Daym!!!!!! It’s official we’re back on the move and we’re so Daym excited!!!

The past 5.5 months in Burlington have been an awesome experience for both of us. We managed to say our goodbyes to our Vermont friends and family over the course of the last couple days. Our plants 🌱 are all packed up and ready for us to move into our new place in November 🍁🍦🌅

The road takes us back to Philly for three days before heading out West for a birthday trip 😁. We can’t wait to hug and squeeze all of our Philly family.

Here are some feel good pics from our last few days in the green mountain state. We hope everyone reading this is having an amazing week! Make sure to keep cruisin and give someone a hug tomorrow :)

Let the Philly countdown begin! We’re about halfway through Summer and it has been heating up! Literally 🥵 We have been werking and twerkin our asses off this summer in order to hit our goals.

Our main focus this summer was to become the best version of ourselves financially, physically, mentally, and emotionally coming back to Philadelphia in order to bring you the best business possible. Ohhhh and we can’t wait to share with you what we have in the works! 🤫

This summer Sydney has been working at a vintage furniture/home goods shop and loving the change up from service industry! She’s learning a lot and having fun (at work??) 😍😂 Sellus has been working for Zero Gravity Brewing in the production facility as well as bartending in the taproom. To make some extra cash we both have been doing some cleaning on the side.

Along with spending time with Syds family we’ve been lucky enough to have some visitors this past month. Two of our BFFs that live in Vermont are living in their incredible bus they built outside of town. (talk about awesome friends). Although we’re not neighbors we’re in the same state again and loving it!

Sellus’ brother and cousin made it up for a visit as well as two of our other closest friends from Philly (family at this point) — all experiencing Vermont for the first time! We love to host and share the VT gems and induct our loved ones into Maple creemee 🍦fandom.

We can’t wait to check in on all you amazing souls and hope your mental health and wellbeing is at an all time high this morning. If today happens to be a tough one then we hope these bright and colorful Burlington houses and flowers bring you joy :)

Let us know how you’re doing we miss you!

Its official! Syd and I have been living in Vermont for a month!

I promise we didn’t forget all you beautiful souls :) Our main focus has been grinding and getting on the financial get back from our journey. We honestly hope everyone reading this has had an amazing month!

We have landed back to Sydney’s hometown of Williston, Vermont! We’ve been working and exercising and food prepping and setting ourselves up for success! Looking forward to the rest of Summer where we’ll be living in Burlington and exploring more of rural VT for hikes and fun ☺️

It’s been really difficult working separate jobs with opposite schedules, after being together 24/7 in New Zealand — but guess that’s a good sign we didn’t get sick of each other? And want more? 😂 In the meantime just making time to hang whenever we can, reconnecting with friends, and planning for next steps.

Enjoy some VT Spring/early Summer photo moments 🥹 Get ready for when we’re back in action! Xoxo

We’re back on the East Coast! Wassup Phillllyy!!!!! Our hearts have been so full after spending the last two weeks running around, squeezing friends/ family, and eating all the delicious foods we missed.

This trip has been such an amazing adventure after 19 months! The amount of beautiful hoomans that we have met along the way has changed our lives. We miss our New Zealand family but we know it’s not goodbye forever.

We love Philadelphia so much and can’t wait to get back and fully enjoy the city but we have decided to stay in Burlington, Vermont for hot girl summer! 💅🏽 (or work grind summer)

Don’t y’all worry we will be back in the city in the Fall ready with some fresh new ideas on the direction we’re taking Philadelphia Beer Candles!

Thank you everyone who followed our journey around the world! We love and miss you!

When we booked our trip to Japan seeing Mt Fuji was high on our list. I first remembering seeing this giant volcano on a screen saver on some random desktop computer back in middle school. (Yall know what I’m talking about)

Like any weather around massive volcanos the weather is unpredictable, making seeing her in all her glory really hard. Knowing this we came into our trip with zero expectations.

The result? Two clear sunny days of the most glorious volcano 🌋 we have ever seen. Syd n I spent two days in a town called Yamanashi roaming around the streets while Mt Fuji loomed in the background.

The past 4 days we’ve been in Kyoto (came in hot on the bullet train). We were crossing our fingers we’d catch some cherry blossoms in full bloom 🌸 Before we got to Japan, the reports (yes reports) were saying we’d be here during peak bloom! But as with all things Mother Nature, that’s subject to change based on weather and tings. Tokyo didn’t quite yet have any blossoms, but Kyoto is starting to bloom!

We’ve been lucky enough to catch some gorgeous trees in shades of white and pink. Right now maybe 10% of trees are in blossom so it’ll be getting better and better the next couple weeks!

Goodbye Thailand!
This is Sydney. She is our Beer Candles co-founder, travel buddy, and amateur photographer. She has always loved photography (both film and digital) & since we got a used DSLR camera in New Zealand, she has been developing a personal style. This is always changing, but for now we’ll call it generally travel photography: landscapes or streets, depending on where we are.
New Zealand lent itself so well to nature and landscape photography. It’s an incredibly gorgeous country, and very easy to capture photos looking like postcards or Nat Geo pieces.

It’s been fun to explore cities, especially in Asia, after living in rural areas— to capture the hustle & bustle. We had heard a lot about Bangkok and how big and dirty and loud it is, full of traffic and doesn’t need more than a couple days to get your fill. But through the lens of street photography, we’ve found areas we love.
The tiny alleyways and homes built in Chinatown or along canals, plants packed in around 7/11s and street vendors out all day & night had us snapping shots all around the city.

Here are a couple of Syd’s favorite shots from BKK over the past few days. Trying to improve and practice even more before we get to Japan!

For those photographers out there: what camera do you use or recommend?

We got to Vietnam last night after a visa issue 2 days ago, which resulted in us staying an extra couple nights in Bangkok. Lots of time, money and stress and 2 visas later, we are on our way 🤞🏽

Hey family!

We’re 10 days into our Thailand 🇹🇭 trip and yesterday got to Bangkok on a ten hour night train for the last 2 days.

Syd n I first landed in and have traveled from Phuket to Phi Phi island to Krabi to Khao Sok National Park.

We’ve been on lots of boats and car rides, seen beautiful beaches and islands, and finally got in some kayaking! We have also sweat buckets from the heat of a thousand suns. Also eating Thai food everyday is 🔥

One of the coolest and most unique things we’ve experienced are the long tail boats. You can see them lined up in bays, decked out with ribbons and flowers, and we’ve gotten to ride in a couple. It’s very special and unique.

Thanks for taking the time to read and follow our adventure. Let us know what kind of content you want to see as we head to Vietnam in 3 days. We can always just start posting videos of Sellus twerking and dancing 😂

We’re back on the move! ✈️ Today ends our time in Indonesia as we fly to Phuket, Thailand. Syd n I came into this trip knowing that 10-12 days in each country was not enough time to see everything we wanted, but it gives us the chance to see a few highlights while relaxing at the same time.

We worked our butts 🍑 off in New Zealand, putting in hours and saving as much as we could, so that we can relax and feel rewarded now on our holidays.

Here are some of our favorite shots from our trip and a little bit about each place.
1-4 Ubud & Sideman
This region of Bali is located about an hour away from kuta. We chose to go through this area because it’s more rural and filled with beautiful rice terrace fields. As coffee lovers we had to take a trip to the region where it’s produced. We did a tasting and got to try the famous “poop coffee ☕️ 💩 “ made by using coffee beans eaten and pooped out by the Luwak animal.

•Rice Terrace fields
•Bamboo house Air Bnb
•Motorbikes for days
•Luwak Coffee- process & tasting

5-7 Gili Islands
The Gili islands are a serious of three islands ( Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno & Gili Air) located off the main island of Lombok. We had the opportunity to visit the first two islands. They are both hot and tropical, filled with so much island energy. Perfect for relaxing on the beach, snorking, & scuba diving!

•No powered vehicles on the islands! Just horses and bicycles
•Gili Meno beach outside our hotel
•Gili T is filled with beach bars and restaurants

8-10 Nusa Dua & Penida Island
Syd n I opted to do a small group day tour from Bali to Nusa Penida island with a local guide. The journey from the Sanur port takes about 45min via boat. This island is a little less developed so it’s a little harder to get around. Our guide Morris who was from the island showed us around and took us to all the beautiful viewpoints. We just enjoyed the natural beauty and turned tourist crowds into an opportunity for people watching 😂

•Kelingking Beach
•Broken Beach
•Syd’s cousin’s band, The Walters, at Joyland Festival

Are you guys interested in a budget breakdown of what we spend in each country?

GOODBYE NEW ZEALAND! We have officially left the country and are on our journey back home to the states. 😭

Our last night in Auckland was filled with so much love. We managed to say goodbye (not without crying😢 ) to some of the most incredible people we have ever met.

The 17 months we spent in New Zealand together has been such a special experience for the both of us. Although we are sad that this trip is over, we are also feeling accomplished because of all the connections and experiences we have had.

The past 3 days we’ve been in New South Wales, Australia. We came out to visit a friend from the ski mountain in Queenstown, who lives in Mollymook (south of Sydney). It’s been such a warm and fuzzy trip, although short, and filled our cup up before we set off for Asia!

She and her partner showed us some epic beaches, and a highlight was a coastal bush walk we did yesterday. We saw some awesome birds, lizards and plants and even some wallabies!

Our adventure home will take us through parts of Southeast Asia. ( Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, & Japan) Stay tuned for some travel photos and updates!

Cheers to friends all over the world!
Love you!
