A little exciting news from Delia Designs!

I'm delighted to share that my designadvice was featured in a new Yahoo Shopping article about creative kitchen storage solutions!

I had the opportunity to share some of my favorite design strategies for finding usable space in unexpected places, including beneath cabinets, above doorways, and even inside walls.

One thing I've always believed is that beautiful design and practical solutions should go hand in hand. Even the smallest spaces can feel intentional, functional, and beautiful with a little creative thinking.

It's always a pleasure to contribute to conversations that help people see their homes in a new way.

Thank you to Yahoo Shopping for the feature!

Here's the article:

Your fridge, stovetop, windows and ceiling are secret space-savers, according to home pros.

What makes a hotel feel luxurious?

It may be the beautiful finishes and furnishings that first catch your eye, but true luxury is often found in the details you barely notice.

The bedside controls that make sense. The flattering bathroom lighting. The quiet room. The place for your luggage that does not interrupt the flow of the space. The outlet located exactly where you need it.

These decisions may seem small, but together they create something powerful: the feeling that your comfort was considered long before you arrived.

The most successful hotel interiors are not simply designed to be admired. They are designed to be experienced.

Guests may not consciously notice the carefully placed reading light, the intuitive arrival zone or the thoughtful place to open a suitcase. But they notice how the room makes them feel.

Comfortable. Understood. At ease.

That is the quiet power of considered design. Every detail becomes part of the welcome.

I explore this idea in my latest blog. https://www.delia-designs.com/blog-post/small-hotel-details

True luxury is not always found in the grandest gesture. Often, it lives in the smallest details.

A place to set down your bag. Lighting that feels warm and flattering. An outlet exactly where you need it. A room that seems to anticipate your needs before you even realize them.

In my latest blog, I explore how thoughtful hotel design can make guests feel genuinely seen, welcomed and cared for. Because the most memorable spaces do more than look beautiful. They make life feel easier, more comfortable and a little more special.

There’s something so satisfying about watching the day literally melt away. ✨

I’ve been using ELasco’s Melt Off Makeup Remover to break down my makeup at the end of the day, and I love how effortless it makes that first step of my nighttime routine. Makeup, sunscreen, the whole day… gone. 🤍

Because taking it all off should feel just as good as putting it on. 😉

Resilient skin starts with a healthy skin barrier. 💙

I’ve been trying the Copper Resilience Serum from Slab Beauty, formulated with high-purity copper peptides and a patented triple-protein complex to support hydration, elasticity, and the skin barrier.

Each dose comes in an individual ampoule to help preserve the formula’s freshness and potency. The serum feels lightweight, absorbs beautifully, and leaves my skin looking calm, smooth, and supple.

A lovely addition to my skincare routine, especially when my skin needs a little extra support. Follow SLAB BEAUTY

A little Berkshires escape with my dear friend Jane ♥️

Beautiful scenery, charming stops, delicious meals, lots of laughter, and the kind of long conversations that make a girls’ trip so special.

There is something about stepping away from everyday life, exploring somewhere beautiful, and sharing it with someone you love that feels incredibly restorative.

The Berkshires were gorgeous, but the company made the trip. ✨

Already wishing we could do it all over again.

AI is changing the hospitality industry, but technology alone does not create a memorable guest experience.

The real opportunity lies in how interior designers thoughtfully integrate AI into the built environment by anticipating guest needs, creating more personalized experiences, supporting seamless service, and improving operational efficiency without sacrificing warmth or human connection.

In my latest article, I explore how the relationship between AI and interior design is shaping the future of hospitality and why the spaces of tomorrow must be both intelligent and deeply human.

If you’re looking for a plant-based protein that doesn’t taste overly sweet or artificial, this is Sprout Living’s Epic Protein in Vanilla Lucuma. It has 20 grams of protein from simple, organic ingredients, and the lucuma gives it a soft, naturally creamy vanilla flavor. I love adding it to smoothies for an easy little protein boost without all the unnecessary extras.

Timeless design isn’t about avoiding what’s current—it’s about knowing which ideas deserve to endure.

The most iconic hotel interiors are grounded in a strong sense of place, thoughtful proportions, authentic materials and an experience that feels entirely their own. Trends may influence the details, but they should never become the whole story.

In my latest blog, I’m exploring how intentional design creates hotels that remain memorable long after the moment has passed.
