Hamilton Street Porch Sale, 9/7/2019 Annual neigborhood sidewalk sale in Powelton Village One of the biggest events in the neighborhood that gets many neighbors out to sell their wares.

Usually on the 2nd Saturday after Labor Day every year there is a 4 block long porch sale in Powelton Village. Please be aware that our organization will NEVER ask for any money to be wired, venmoed, paypaled or other prepayment except in person to one of the 3 block captain's of the Hamilton Street Porch Sale! We will never ask for anything other than what is listed on the form EVER!!!
You must pay in person in advance or the day of the Show!

Hamilton St Porch Sale - Saturday September 7th
The Hamilton Street Porch Sale is back again! Please come out and join the fun with selling and/or buying! Support continuing this decade old Powelton Village tradition!

Date: Saturday, September 7th from 9AM to 4PM. Rain date is Sunday, September 8th.

Location: 3400, 3500, 3600 and 3700 blocks of Hamilton St on your porch or sidewalk.

Registration fee: $20 CASH ONLY

Participants: anyone may participate. If anyone outside the block area wishes to join us, just message us for a sign up form.
A few affordable are currently available.

While the world seems to be opening up, the standard for Covid safety has been a bit of a moving target. My concern is on the front of being considerate to both our neighbors and for our visiting vendors of the Powelton Porch Sale. While running the event, we would not have any ability or authority to enact any safety protocols. We have a lot of families with young children who are not eligible for the vaccination, and we also have some people who may be extra cautious and cause undue worry and stress by the event. At the same time, my concern for the vendors is that we might not even get enough shoppers since I did not want to commit a large budget to advertise without knowing what the virus status would be at this time.

With this in mind, we are going to put off the Powelton Porch Sale another year and use the funds from the last one to make sure that the event can be safer, and more well attended.

I know that this is disappointing and am still excited for when we can hold this event. Thank you for your understanding.
